Hello, Gorgeous!
This morning a friend bragged told me about how cool and nippy the air was in her part of the world. Grrr. Boo. Hiss.
Where I’m at it’s humid and pouring rain (dreich, as the Scots say), with no sign of autumn in sight. And yet hope springs eternal. I’m still dreaming about cooler days and cozy jackets. Note that I’m not looking forward to freezing weather, just weather that makes you stand up and take notice. Sort of like this seriously cute fleece jacket from Quince.
Hooded Sherpa Jacket
I love me a good fleece, and I find that while I rely on my old-school Land’s End classics, sometimes I want to pretend to be slightly more stylish. This adorable teddy bear style has a lot of extra detailing. Sweater style cuffs and waistband and a removable hood. God bless whoever invented the removable hood, since I’m so moody when it comes to hoods. I also lose them, but that’s neither here nor there. Let’s face it. I’d love a long cloak with a dramatic hood (candle in a holder optional) but short of that, I’m veering to super cute fleece. A few things that made me cranky, but not seriously though. This jacket doesn’t come in a wide range of sizes and caps at XL. It’s also only available in two basic shades - black or camel. It’s also not the most breathable fleece I’ve encountered, but it makes up for it with the teddy bear styling ($80, quince.com).
Are you looking forward to fleece season? Let’s meet in the comments to discuss! (I’m more of a leather jacket season person!)
