A Love Song to Positano
Salt grains, orange flower, and citron make this a scent that makes you long for Italy
Hello, Gorgeous!
Life can be tough sometimes. During a particularly low point in my life some years back I latched onto the name/location Positano and said it repeatedly to myself as a mantra when I needed a lift. Well, thankfully that part of my life is in the rear-view mirror *knocks wood surreptitiously*, but the lure and allure of Positano never seems to have left. Which is why I’m particularly intrigued with this new scent Acqua di Positano.
Acqua di Positano by Eau D’Italie
It’s not easy to describe a summery scent that provides a whisper of salty fresh outdoor cafes on the on the Amalfi Coast, but I’ll try.
To celebrate 20 years of Eau d’Italie, the brand founders created a capsule collection. In their words, Acqua di Positano is “A perfect summery blend of Salt Grains and Orange Flower Absolute, with sparkling top notes of Citron and Petitgrain. Absolutely irresistible, just like Positano.”
Here’s what it smells like to me:
Vacation.
Flirtation.
Celebration.
Subtle hints of scent and lovely glasses of wine or lemonade while people watching.
Positano. Or at least what I’m sure Positano must smell like.
With notes of Citron, Petitgrain, Grains of Salt, Orange Flower Absolute, Hedione and Driftwood, this is a light, breezy scent for when you want to smell clean, fresh, and ready for adventure (About $210 for 100 ml, beautyhabit.com).
