Abundant & Strong (in the Year Ahead)
I'm pretty sure Pantene's new collection will inspire all of us...
Hello, Gorgeous!
I had what I can only describe as a beauty epiphany when testing out Pantene’s newest innovation - the Abundant & Strong Collection, which targets hair loss in women.
My a-ha(ir) moment went something like this: Ooh. Pantene. Yup. That’ll work.
As much as I love trying out indie brands and products with indecipherable labels, I really do have a sense of calm when testing out something by a legacy brand.
Pantene Abundant & Strong Collection
In case you’re curious to try the new line, it’s comprised of three products - Shampoo, Conditioner and Daily Scalp Serum. Here’s the interesting/exciting part; the product claim is that the line reduces hair loss by up to 85% while promoting “stronger, denser hair with clinically proven, dermatologist-tested antioxidant technology.”
I’ve only tried it a few times, but I did notice an immediate something happening. Not hype, but just what felt like a great shampoo/conditioner combo. Overall, I can’t confirm if my wintery lank locks are replenished for maximum floof factor. What I do know is this: Pantene isn’t in the habit of making massive product claims without being able to back them up, so I’m pretty excited to see the results in a few weeks. I mean, this is serious hair science: “After eight weeks, the system helps retain more than 6,000 strands at the root.” The three main ingredients doing just this are:
Pro-Vitamin B5 – A deeply absorbing hair nutrient with antioxidant and protein bonding powers
Niacinamide – Also known as Vitamin B3, an antioxidant known for strengthening skin’s barrier
Piroctone Olamine – An antioxidant that reduces free radicals on the scalp surface
I’ll keep you posted when/if I have longer term results to report ($50, for all three pieces, on Amazon).
How’s your winter hat hair doing? Any tips to keep hair looking like it hasn’t given up forever? Let’s meet in the comments to discuss!
