And Then There's Maeve
Seattle Chocolate's rebrand celebrates women, art, and quirky + scrumptious flavors
Hello, Gorgeous!
It’s Women’s History Month, which honors the achievements of women throughout history. This year's theme is “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.” What better way to celebrate generations of women than through a mother-daughter chocolate company?
You really need to try Maeve chocolate
After 30 years in business, Seattle Chocolate rebranded earlier this month as Maeve, the name inspired by the legendary fierce Celtic warrior queen.
Company owner and CEO Jean Thompson and daughter Brand Manager Ellie Thompson changed the name, but not the mission. They remain committed to empowering women while supporting cocoa farmers, and all the while crafting ridiculously delicious chocolate.
Oh, the packaging
The packaging for Maeve chocolate is so clever and gorgeous, featuring a riot of color and patterns that feel like the lovechild of Frida Kahlo and Elsa Schiaparelli.
The chocolate yumminess comes packed in truffle bars ($6.50) or 16 flavors of chocolate bonbons ($27, for 8oz). Flavors include Creme Brulee, Dark Salty Toffee, Espresso, Hazelnut Butter Crisp, Malted Milk Ball, Milk Salty Toffee, Moon Rocks, and Pink Bubbly.
I always loved Seattle Chocolate Company but am loving Maeve's joyful look and scrumptious tastes. Every piece is also pretty enough to make a thoughtful and affordable gift for any occasion or none at all.
Can’t get enough amazing chocolate? Me, neither! Do you have a favorite brand or flavor? Let’s meet in the comment section to discuss!
