Bring On the Nudes
New nudes are good nudes
Hello, Gorgeous!
How’s your it’s nearly spring beauty routine going? I’ve been experimenting (though failing miserably) with gel pencil eyeliners. Most seem to get stuck to my lashes creating a particularly unflattering Tammy Faye effect. The flip side of that is that I’m embracing nude lips in a big way. You know who else is embracing nudes? Lawless Beauty.
Forget the Filler by Lawless
Lawless just dropped four nude inspired shades of their Forget The Filler Lip-Plumping Gloss. Just so you know, these are almost beige vinyl nude, and not match your skin tone nudes. As described by the brand, the nude collection includes these four shades:
Skinny Dip: a pale pinky beige
Blushed Sand : a muted rosy beige
Nudie: a pinky nude with a pearl finish
George: a medium taupe nude
In case you’ve never tried the line before, the glosses are a combination of a clinically proven lip-plumping treatment and ultra-shiny gloss. Beyond the plumping, I noticed an incredible overall smoothing effect. I can't personally verify this but the brand claims: “One Forget the Filler product sells every minute, with one Forget The Filler Lip-Plumping Line-Smoothing Gloss ($26, lawlessbeauty.com) selling every 9 minutes.” Impressive, no?
All that is fun and fantastic, but the product I’m most excited about right now is the Forget the Filler Definer Liner. The amount of pigment in this one is hard to describe (Though it is touted as being “ultra pigmented”). I applied some and forgot about it. I wanted to see if it would dry out or fade. Neither happened. In fact, when I checked the mirror again a few hours later I was actually a bit surprised at just how pouty and noticeable my mouth looked. For years I wore my lip gloss in what I so elegantly described as porny. I haven’t done that in ages. But this lip liner gave my mouth a sexy but not over the top type of definition I haven’t seen in a product in ages. I like it! Rosewood is the color that looked best on me and I would describe it as MAC Lovechild only without the shimmer and sparklies. It’s gorgeous ($21, lawlessbeauty.com).
Are you in a nude mood or is brighter your choice these days? Let’s meet in the comments to discuss!
