Hello Gorgeous!
I’ve had a few requests from readers to discuss my favorite foundations or BB or CC Creams. I’m extremely fortunate not to need foundation or much cover up, but when I do need it, I really really need it. After reading raves about Doll 10, I finally decided to try it. It’s become my new go to for days when I need a bit more coverage.
Let’s talk about Doll 10 Beauty
I’m not sure why, but the brand name bothered me. Or at least it did until I learned more about it.
Doctor founded. Doll 10 was founded by Dr. Doris Dalton, who is also president of the company. Every product she creates for the Doll 10 Beauty line is clean, cruelty free and include 10 skin-repairing ingredients.
Heavy but sheer. I’m not going to even pretend to figure out how they do it, but Doll 10 products have a weightiness to them but still go on sheer. There’s enough coverage so that any imperfections are blurred or fully covered up, but your skin tone still shows through. Two products in particular stand out for me, T.C.E. This Covers Everything Super Coverage Serum Makeup with Peptides ($46) and T.C.E. This Covers Everything Super Coverage Concealer With Peptides ($32). These are unlike products I’ve ever tried before, in a good way. These go on with a significant heft to the product texture. So don’t expect sheer or luminous. It’s a glob. But when you start to dot on or blend the product it provides coverage without looking like you’ve spackled on foundation. I know that so many people swear by IT Cosmetics, but I’ve always found that I was left with a slightly mask-like look after using any of their face products. Sure IT has a gazillion colors to choose from, but none seemed to work for my skin. That’s not the case with Doll 10. Everything that needed to be covered up was covered up, but my skin texture and color showed through.
Lighter coverage products too. For a much lighter amount of coverage, check out T.C.E Liquid Filter which includes Phyto Collagen for a slight plumping effect with the skin blurring effect.
Long lasting without cracking. Even better, After eight hours of wear there was no telltale cracking or product settling into creases. I’m sure the ingredients helped - Peptides, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Green Tea Extract & Aloe Vera Extract, but it seems the overall formulations really do live up to the raves.
In all, I really love this line. It’s reasonably priced for better skincare, includes fantastic and clean ingredients and doesn’t settle into your skin. I’ll include my favorite Doll 10 product right now for paid subscribers only. I’m also including my favorite concealer brush in case you’re in the market for a new one.
So, what do you think; Have you tried Doll Beauty? Do you prefer it over IT Cosmetics?
