Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt Really Delivers
HG Reality Check: I reality-checked the marketing promises with real results
Hello, Gorgeous!
Over the past few months I’ve been rediscovering the glory of Estée Lauder skincare products, especially eye creams and eye treatments. And yet me being me and trying out boatloads of products each month, I wondered if the new launches were as great as I thought they were.
In a word, yes. The new formulations are amazing.
Today’s focus: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt.
Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt
Back when most of us started taking better care of our skin, Estée Lauder was one of the few instantly recognizable and trustworthy brands to buy. And so we did. Then the market started getting flooded with specialty items with claims and ingredients so random as to be completely overwhelming. Which is why for me at least, it’s such a relief that Lauder is back in a big way. It feels like comfort food for my face.
The claims
First off, this is a serum that in my experience can double as an eye cream. Described in press materials as “A next-gen eye treatment clinically proven to lift, sculpt, and redefine.” More than that, “this breakthrough formula takes a dermatologist-inspired, multi-dimensional approach to visibly transform the eye area.” Entirely possible.
Since I can’t measure results in any lab-friendly way, I enlisted two of my besties with completely different skin types (One highly melanated, one significantly older than me) to test the product with me. I wanted to reality-check my own impressions. Spoiler alert: We all had noticeable results.
What makes it work. This magical elixir is powered by something called Tripeptide-32 Night Peptide which is part of Estée Lauder’s exclusive Advanced Night Repair technology.
I love the fact that it targets four different eye zones: lid, inner corner, crow’s feet, and under-eye.
And this part is extremely cool. It features something called 2HA Volume Filler, a blend of polymers and multi-molecular weight hyaluronic acid. The end result is that lines don’t disappear, but they appear to be filled in and softer ($85, esteelauder.com).
I gotta tell you. I am loving next gen Lauder in a big way. I feel like they’re trying to target elder millennials, but it’s definitely Gen X and beyond friendly as well.
