Your 9/11 story gave me chills! This day brings me right back to 24 years ago so clearly. I'll never forget the feeling of unity in the country in the days that followed and given alllll the recent events, it brings me to tears. Thank you for sharing this post and putting it all so eloquently. Also, I LOVE and use Thrive mascara - I had no idea that my purchases have been giving back and I'm so happy to continue to the support now knowing the cause! Big hugs xo

I remember the incredible stillness in the city for a year or two after. Waiting for life to start again. And I do remember the way people tried to love and support each other. I debated mightily before posting this, I'm really thrilled it was meaningful to you. And hurray for using a product you love that also helps others! Big hugs coming back your way xo

I'm so heartened you posted this as a way to give back. I remember being at work and CNBC was on in the background, as usual. Our office was next door to the then-named Sears Tower, and there was a legit concern it would be hit next. Watching everyone stream out of the Loop and on to the suburban trains (where I had to go for our satellite office) was surreal. We need to remember this day and the sacrifice of first responders.

I love the idea of Thrive Causemetics supporting women EMTs.
