Hello Gorgeous!

Did you have a nice weekend? I’ve been kind of stressed (what else is new?) and can’t wait to head into a steamy* shower tonight.

I’m already counting down the hours until I can play home spa using these fun and on-trend Gua Sha cleansing bars from Voesh.

Let’s back up for a moment though and talk about Gua Sha.

What’s Gua Sha?

Gua Sha is technically a face scraping technique done using a very specific carved tool with a shape that resembles a heart. But no one should actually scrape their face. Be gentle at home and leave the intense part for the experts.

Gua Sha originated as an extremely vigorous body treatment said to have become popular in China, Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia (where it’s called kerokan). As a trendy beauty treatment, it’s more commonly offered as a de-puffing technique in facials or even in massage. Some say that a gua sha massage even encourages the production of collagen.
