Hello, Gorgeous!
There’s a heat wave going on, but I’m avoiding sandals because my toes are far from summer ready. And as breezy as my sneakers are, it’s time for an emergency intervention.
Kijibae semi-cured gel nail strips
Kijibae is a brand that seems to run on cuteness and quality. They have a wide selection of thin and easy to apply gels for manicures and pedicures. I was hesitant for the longest time about trying apply at-home gels, since gel manicures can do a real number on my nails leaving damage that lasts for weeks. These were completely different though. Kijibae strips were extremely to apply (once you get the hang of it!) and for me at least, there was less damage or pain after I removed them.
Let it be noted that I did apply the strawberry creme style as a manicure since I have an inordinate fondness for all things strawberry related (ask me about my childhood nickname that’s still with me!). The color was slightly more beige-y in person than the perky pink on the site, but the designs were irresistible.
The strips are 60%-80% cured, which means they’re soft enough to mold to your nail and tri to size. You’ll have to cure them under a UV lamp for another 60 seconds though. I’d highly recommend applying their Seal the Deal UV Gel Top Coat which left my nails with that thick glossy look we all love in gel. (pedi strips are $15, top coat is $20, kijibae.com). Also notable, use the code FREELAMP for a free Cure Me UV LED Nail Lamp.
These adorable nail strips allow you to try on detailed designs without much of a commitment in either price or salon time.
