HiBAR Body Wash

I’ll admit that I wasn’t always as environmentally aware as I try to be now. So every single shower and bath would last long and involve way too many products. And most of those products came packaged in plastic and were filled with excess water.

Here’s what I love about the new body wash collection:

• Less waste. That includes less water wasted in the product and in the packaging. There’s no fiddly plastic wrapping to cut through (and waste) and each product comes wrapped in a small piece of tissue wrapping that prevents product from sticking and sorta kinda feels like you’re about to unwrap some Parisian pastry.

• Great for sensitive skin. When I first tried HiBAR shower bars I thought they might chafe my super sensitive skin. The opposite is true. Fewer ingredients and soap free formulation means fewer irritants. Less water means less dryness. I could go on, but overall I’m loving the incredibly gentle formulations. My skin is pretty happy too!

• Incredible formulations and scents. The product line is launching with four great formulations: Hydrating Vanilla + Blue Orchid, Clarifying Cedarwood + Moss, Exfoliate Sea Salt + Teak Wood, and my favorite (so far) Nourishing Black Currant + Rose. Have I mentioned the incredible aromas? Subtle, soft, not at all cloying.

• A dream ingredient list. With Shea Butter as the third listed ingredient, you know these are going to be softening. Depending on your formulation of choice, you might also find Coconut or Amla Oil and a variety of skin loving enhancements. It’s also cruelty free and vegan.

• Easy to use. Simply rub a bar between your wet hands to create a lather, or use directly on wet skin. I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of lather and bubbles and complete lack of dryness.

One caveat: You’ll probably have to find a creative way to store these since they can melt if left in a damp bathroom.
