Swapping my spring nail polish color made me happier than I expected!

I can be a creature of habit. I love trying out new things, but in a pinch I tend to stick with my tried and true favorites - and that usually goes for nail polish as well. Make it shimmery/holo or downright freaky and I’m there for it. And when choosing spring colors I’ll usually veer toward orchid-y pinks. Which is why I surprised myself by falling hard for Her by Dazzle Dry. While I love pretty much everything Dazzle Dry, I don’t tend to usually love colors, like this peachy pink frost. And yet somehow we’ve been going steady for the past few weeks.

Sometimes something as tiny as choosing a nail color out of your comfort zone can reset your mood in a big way. Right now every time I see my nails on my keyboard I smile. And the color has that Mad Men without the loathsome characters and dark plot lines vibe. Light. Fun. A different color experience than I usually have. ($22, dazzledry.com).
