New Feature: Second Look
I revisit past raves to see if they still hold up. First up: Kizik Women's Juno 2 Low Boot
Hello, Gorgeous!
I test out a lot of products every year. I write about only a portion of them. And sometimes I rave and then continue to use a product and rave a lot less. For that reason I’m launching Second Look, in which I revisit past raves to see if they still hold up. First up: Kizik Women’s Juno 2 Low Boot.
Kizik Women’s Juno 2 Low Boot
A few months ago I mentioned these boots in a roundup. I loved them. But a few months ago it wasn’t snowing or slushy yet in my part of the world. And so it was a lot easier to rave. I decided to give them an extreme series of tests to see if I love them still. Spoiler alert: I love them even more now.
Here’s why I love my Junos:
Comfort. How they managed to give these cute short boots traction and adorable style is beyond me. But even climbing over snow banks or tramping on icy areas I still felt surefooted. Like a gazelle. Okay, not like a gazelle, but not slipping and sliding either. And that’s not nothing.
They deliver. You know what’s worse than pulling on 17 layers of clothing before you head out? Trying to slip on your snow boots while wearing said 17 layers. Kiziks seem to magically allow you to make like Cinderella and simply slip your feet in, even when you’re wearing four pairs of socks.
They’re strangely cute. I know. Our tastes have evolved over the decades so that we prefer warm and puffy puffer jackets over flattering wool coats, but when did we start loving shoes and boots that looked orthoped-ish as well?
And one thing you might not love…
They’re sold out. Before you throw virtual snowballs my way, I didn’t realize they were sold out in nearly every size and color when I started composing this ode to Junos. The good news is that these super cute Juno High Boots are still available in the prettiest shade of surf green. I love these. I think you will too (Juno 2, $140, Juno 2 High, $175, Kizik.com).
Do you have a pair of winter boots you love? Let’s meet in the comments to discuss!

These are so cute!! You may remember I worked with a few snow boot brands (and all footwear categories really) several years back and I still have a few of their styles that have lasted me. My hubbz will divorce me if I bring another pair into the house (LOL jk jk) - maybe I need a closet clean out!
