Not So Ordinary Blackhead Solution
The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution eliminates blackheads without destroying your skin
Hello, Gorgeous!
A bunch of years ago I dated a guy who used to chide me for oversharing. And by oversharing he meant talking about anything related to emotions or our relationship. Clearly we didn’t last.
I’m actually extremely circumspect about the personal information I share. It occurs to me that the one place I actually might overshare is here, when I discuss things like my life-long battle with blackheads on my nose.
I think I’ve finally found something to effectively trounce them, The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution.
The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution
I’ll begin by telling you (reminding you) that I’ve tried pretty much everything and anything to minimize the look of blackheads on my nose. Does anyone else ever notice them? Nope. Do the blackheads and bumps no one sees still really bug me to the extent that I spend hours searching for the ultimate blackhead solution? Affirmative.
I’m going to go so far as to call The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution one of my new holy grail products. Here’s why:
It produced results the first time I used it. I’m not kidding. I applied a small amount and gently patted in. Within about 20 minutes I noticed that the look of the skin on my nose was slightly matter and pores seemed to vanish-ish. Let’s be honest, blackheads will never disappear completely, but the difference was amazing. Incidentally, those weird random bumps that show up in the T-zone also were smoothed and flattened. Holy salicylic acid, Batman. This one’s a keeper!
It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin. By now you all know just how super-sensitive my skin is (kindly refer to the aforementioned oversharing part). While skin peeled after about 10 days of use, there was no peeling or noticeable redness. I currently use it twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. Notable - you’ll probably have to be a bit more vigilant about using SPF if you start using this product regularly.
It has a serum base. How it’s possible to combine salicylic acid (which removes dead skin cells and random odd textures or bumps) in a water-based serum is beyond me. This solution does just that.
It’s ridiculously affordable. While I paid about $15, I just checked and it’s now under $7 on Amazon.
YMMV: I was surprised that this received a meh score on review checker, it’s one of the best products I’ve tried in a while.

I need some info on dark spots on face. When you have a chance. ❤️
