Your endorsement of this top coat is peaking my curiosity! I love painting my nails, but handwashing dishes and chipping polish was not encouraging my efforts. You *seriously* have the best recommendations!
And you are *seriously* the sweetest! Thank you. I have noticed that oddly enough, using a quick dry product keeps nails from chipping as much. I could not even begin to explain it. And I was going to do a post just for the base coat and top coat. Neither is a nail hardener, but the shiny even finish that looks like gel and resists chipping (and I'm on a keyboard all day!) won me over. Keep me posted if you try it!
OMG - I'm obsessed with that shimmer! I'm still doing dip with chrome Manis- my little luxury I guess though not the best for my nails 😬! But that shimmer makes me rethink it - I was doing lavender chrome all spring!
I couldn't respond to your comment directly yesterday, so I just typed it in above. Also, in certain lights this polish looks like a stunningly weird palest orchid.
I've been doing my own nails and sometimes toes since the pandemic. I use a range of brands- Essie, OPI, Kur- but am currently suffering from a bout of thin, dry, peeling nails. Not all of my nails and not all the time. Perplexing and annoying! What remedial products are people using??
Oh, that is the worst. I'm a big believer in pampering your nails with olive oil (a lot of it) the night before you do your nails. So maybe take off your polish and then massage in olive oil to hands/nails/cuticles. Blot if it's too goopy. Then after you wash your hands, buff off the peeling parts. I find that followed by a great base coat can do wonders. Also, thin/dry/peeling nails is sometimes a longtime after effect of chemo, the gift that keeps on giving! Also, also, more calcium can help too. But other than that it's trying products that work for you. I'm in my Mooncat era.
I can't seem to respond directly to comments right now, @maggie. You deserve your lavender chrome splurges! I do have to say though, this color is so stunning. ILNP used to be my favorite brand for chrome and shimmer, but Mooncat really creates these unexpected combinations.

I've been so wanting to try the chrome, but my manicure place doesn't do them! Sticking with gel for now. Enjoy the chrome. 🙂

Can say the color is fab irl and if I wasn't doing gel I'd get it. Enjoy!
