Recently, we dished on the restructuring over at the Estée Lauder brands. Less than two weeks later the impact of that announcement is making waves throughout the beauty industry.
As reported by Puck news, MAC Cosmetics’ outgoing global creative director Drew Elliott didn’t opt for quiet quitting. Instead, he informed the powers that be over at the The Estée Lauder Companies that he was moving on. Most notable is the fact that he’ll be taking up professional residence at Kiko Milano (referred to as the “Italian MAC” in the article) which is run by a private equity firm which previously brought on legendary Lauder exec John Demsey.
Well, now. I do believe the plot just thickened and it’s time to take another look at Kiko.
