Summer Hair Reality: When You Need to Pretend You're Trying
The styling tool that makes summer hair look intentional instead of neglected
Hello, Gorgeous!
I don’t have a ton of hair, which is why it’s really important for me that each strand is styled perfectly (excuse me, I just cracked myself up). I lie. I don’t really spend much time on my hair at all.
Last year I wrote a series on hair toppers, or clip-in hair, and that’s turned out to be a really popular evergreen series of posts.
You can catch up on all three parts of the topper series here:

Tbh, aside from lather, rinse, repeat, there’s not much I actually do to my hair during summer months and instead tend to wear cute hats for most summer days. When I absolutely have to look like I’m trying, I spend a bit more time styling. Right now I’m really loving the FHI Heat heated brush. Here’s why.
Clearly, I don’t want to spend much time styling my hair. This all-in-one styling tool—smoothes frizz, volumizes flat hair and even adds flips or curls. It also doesn’t pull at your hair (must be the tourmaline technology). If I had to explain it (which I guess I do), I’d say it’s a hairbrush that also somehow nearly magically styles your hair into something you don’t have to hide under a baseball cap. And the best part is that it leaves hair shiny, even hair bleached by summer sun ($120, fhiheat.com).
What's your summer hair reality? Are you a cute hat person like me, or do you actually style your hair when it's 90 degrees? Let's meet in the comments to discuss!"
