Whether you spend your time baking in the sun like a crocodile, or hide your skin under hats, scarves and SPF everything, by now you’ve probably got a fair bit of sun damage. It happens to the best of us.
While you’d need a dermatologist to tackle serious sun spot removal, several cult-favorite products make it easy to fade them a bit from the comfort of your home. Valitic Kojic Acid Dark Spot Remover Soap Bars top a lot of lists.

First off, these remind me a bit of the old-school Neutrogena glycerin bars. Only these are jam-packed with a host of skin loving ingredients. Vitamin C, Retinol, and Collagen all make an appearance along with turmeric Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, and Castile Olive Oil. Dang. That’s a nice list.
And while it works wonders on your face, it’s a great body soap as well. I love that it tackles other problem spots like underarms or bikini line.
If it sounds too good to be true, it might be. This Japanese brand claims to also tackle sunburns, fine lines, and wrinkles. If so, this would be the holy grail of facial soaps. As it stands, it’s a cool product that also helps with acne scarring or random spots.
To use: wet your skin, create a lather and gently massage into skin for about 20-30 seconds. And don’t blame me if you fall down a rabbit hole of Valitic products. Turmeric & Kojic Acid Pads: I’m looking at you ($15, Amazon).
Random red flag: I don’t love a brand that promotes the fact that it’s J-Beauty but is actually made in China.
