This Cute Kitchen Update Costs Under $35
Technically you don't need it, but when has that stopped anyone?
Hello, Gorgeous!
Last fall I went to a flurry of holiday gift press events. At one event in particular there was a journalist logjam as everyone stopped and cooed over a display. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but probably not a teeny tiny pair of slow cookers.
These live in my kitchen now and I have to tell you that they brighten every dang thing up (I’d say they ‘cuten’ everything up, but that’s not actually a thing).

First off, I have to let you know that unless you have weekly fondue and queso night, you don’t actually need these. And for all I know, maybe you do in fact have weekly fondue and queso nights. That said, these aren’t just cute, they perk up your kitchen.
Here’s why else you might want to treat yourself to a pair.
They’ll make your countertop happy. Have a nasty stain on the counter, or a chipped piece of marble? Position one or both of these absolutely adorbs mini slow cookers prominently and everyone will come over to have a look. Seriously. They’re that cute*.
They’re useful. If you’d like to practice dipping fruit in melted chocolate or melting chocolate to make home made chocolate bark, these make it a snap. Seriously. And who wouldn’t want more melted chocolate in their lives?
They’re multi-purpose. When I’m feeling particularly tortured by the dry indoor heat and the humidifier seems to have stopped working, I usually put a pot of citrus and baking spices to cook in a great big vat of water. This is a tinier and more elegant option. Put some lemon slices in water, plug it in, and bam! Immediate kitchen mood lift. It also helps chase away fishy smells.
They actually work. I’m too tired lately to schlep out my huge InstantPot to make my steel cut oats every morning. So I tried an experiment. I used the tiny (20 oz) crock to make my morning oats. Much like an Easy Bake Oven, these can cook, only it might take a while. I added twice as much hot water and a pinch of salt to a small amount of oats. Then I plugged in the floral version and waited. And stirred. And waited some more. It took about two hours (steel cut oats can be tough to cook) but my oats were perfect. Perfect in a hotel breakfast how-the-heck-do-they-do-that sort of way. Verdict? Best oats I’ve had in ages.
If you’re trying to figure out the sizing, they’re not Barbie size unless Barbie was using them as a hot tub. Think more like American Girl X Easy Bake.
In all, you don’t need these. But you probably want them. Or you should get them for your bestie so you can admire them on her counter ($32, Amazon).

*My very proper mother declared that they look like boobs and once you see that you can’t unsee it. These are still the cutest crocks I’ve ever seen.

I'm LOL at your size reference - Barbie vs American Girl sized - as I do the same thing and thought I was the only one!
