Today is a somber day, the first anniversary of the atrocities committed on October 7, 2023. And while I can’t post without commenting on the date, I won’t be delving into it deeper here. Because this is someplace we escape to turn off life for a few moments a day. Instead, I’ll focus on remembering to pamper yourself when the stress of life and the world get to be too much.

Along with an increase in feelings of stress, many Americans have stopped prioritizing their me time. In fact, while a majority of people believe self-care activities provide stress relief, some people are so starved for me time that they considered flossing their teeth to be part of their relaxation efforts.
Beyond spa rituals or basic grooming, it’s important to carve out time daily to focus on you so that the stress doesn’t build up.
