Hello, Gorgeous!
I’m not sure what autumn looks like in your part of the world, but where I am it’s a profusion of gold, scarlet, orange and a thousand colors beyond description.
Mother Nature seems to be working overtime to keep everything looking beautiful, which means the rest of us can take things easy this weekend. Of course small indulgences are in order, because of course they are!
A low key poofy pout
While I’m not a fan of aggressive injectables or the tingly feel of lip plumping products, I do make exceptions for the latter. Pepper Pout is a creative clean green brand that manages to create fantastic dual use products.
Their Plumping Lip Liner lines and fills in lips, and then adds a bit more pout. I tried some on bare lips and then another time with primer and both times noticed a definitely fuller pout. The stinging sensation fades after a bit, but was a bit too intense for me.
That said, I have only raves for Sweet Spot which is a lip stain/ gloss mashup. The formula is lightweight and soft, but still manages to deliver a dose of buildable color. The colors are gorgeous without being overwhelming, think stain that doesn’t ever settle into fine lines with a healthy dose of shine. You can buy a duo to see how they work together ($38, pepperpoutbeauty.com).
Self love (in the form of a tiny diamond earring)
Next month is self-care month, but I’m a firm believer in spoiling yourself silly whenever possible…like right now. Or even earlier this week when I treated myself to this adorable Mini Heart Pavé Diamond Stud earring from Mejuri. It’s crazy sparkly and super cute, and I feel like it’s a great reminder that love is all around if you allow it to be ($150 for one, Mejuri).
The perfect baseball cap
I have searched high and low for a baseball cap that fits, flatters, and hides bad hair days. ‘47’s Blank Franchise cap (no team logo) is all that and more. Thought it only comes in a handful of basic colors, it’s more than a basic hat. It has six panels and contrast stitching, so even though it’s designed for men, it has a more flattering fit. I love this cap and if you’ve seen me lately, you’ve seen it too! ($42, 47brand.com).
Zero microplastics bottled water (in a reusable bottle)
Looking for a light, reusable water bottle? Consider Anew alkaline water from New Zealand. It comes packaged in a baby blue bottle made from plant-based, carbon-negative material meant to last. It’s also dishwasher safe, shatter-proof, and incredibly lightweight. Find out more at chooseanew.com.
ALL the pasta recipes
Most babies say Mama or Dada as their first words. In our family it’s pasta. I’m pretty sure that both my blood relatives and intentional fam will swoon for the incredibly creative or classic recipes in The Pasta Book: Recipes, Techniques, Inspiration by James Beard Award–winning chef Marc Vetri. While there are a lot of meat or seafood based recipes, I found quite a few veggie-friendly or easy enough to modify options. ($38, Amazon).
And that’s all for me. Please bear in mind that links might be a bit wonky today, I’m guessing it’s still trickle-down from earlier this week. Also, there are a ton of knock-offs of ‘47 hats, I always buy the originals only.
Do you have any fun weekend plans? Mine involve pasta! Let’s meet in the comments to discuss!

It’s a great day to explore the garden for the last ripening cherry tomatoes. They love to hide. Don’t miss seeking them out!
