Weekend Mode: Coming Around Again
Amika, Goody, Olaplex, Osmosis + hello, there, Scott Speedman!
Hello, Gorgeous!
It seems like my inbox has been filled with pitches for familiar names with brand new launches. Today I’ll share some favorites I’ve tried and think you’ll like!
First up, a shout out to Hello Gorgeous! reader Maggie DS who I saw yesterday while she was working at an event. Maggie is flat out gorgeous, but she’s also such a pro at managing a room full of people with tattoo guns and ink…I’ll tell you about that one another time!
Hola, Olaplex updated No.3!
After decades of testing products for a living, I approach most launches with the same energy I bring to a "limited time offer" email. Healthy skepticism is basically a job requirement.
So when I tell you that Olaplex was the first product I ever used that visibly reduced hair fallout in the shower after a single use, I need you to understand the weight of that sentence. I even recruited my sister as an unofficial control group — same result, first try.
Here's the short version of the science for those not yet obsessed with bond-building products: your hair has actual bonds inside each strand, and heat, color, and chemical treatments break them down over time. Olaplex's patented bond-building technology works from the inside out to repair that structural damage — not mask it. Their new No.3PLUS is the next evolution of the iconic No.3 treatment: a three-minute pre-shampoo formula that's clinically proven to reverse damage in one use, now with an added complex designed to prevent future breakage too. The brand is launching it alongside a campaign called "Science Never Looked So Good," featuring SNL's Chloe Fineman as their Chief Hair Officer — which, honestly, is the most covetable title I've heard in a while ($34, Olaplex.com).
Not such a well kept secret
This one is technically under embargo until next week, but hair care brand Amika’s body care line is everywhere, including a full feature in WWD, so I don’t feel guilty about sharing. From the fuchsia packaging to the incredible warm/fruity/floral scent and commitment to responsible sourcing, I’m a little bit in love with the new launch.
The line includes:
Shower Thoughts Soft + Silky Body Wash is ideal for winter dried skin. I love that my skin felt soft not stripped afterward! Big Embrace Smoothing Whipped Body Butter is super soft and fluffy. My fave in the collection is I’m Glistening Radiant Rich Body Oil I was surprised at how much I loved this one. Slick but not slippery and it brought sexy back to my post-bath bod.
Find the full line on loveamika.com on March 6, 2026.
Worth noting: the collection sources ingredients through Forested, a premium initiative Amika chose to invest in at higher cost — both for formula quality and to support the communities behind the ingredients. In a category full of "clean-ish" claims, that's a distinction worth mentioning.
Osmosis Winter Warming Enzyme Mask
I’m tired. My skin is tired too, but Osmosis came up with a luxurious way to perk up even parched skin. This one is an actually limited edition product with warming aromas of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg, so you’ll feel like you’ve dipped your face into some chai (but please don’t dip your face into chai). It gently exfoliates, infuses skin with antioxidants and gives you an enzyme powered glow. Think of it as the lowest key glow-up you’ll have this season ($50, Osmosisbeauty.com)
Oh, Goody!
I love hair accessories. I also love every flavor of denim possible (maybe not acid washed). I am also having a hard time choosing a favorite in the new Goody/Lee’s denim collab which is available exclusively at Walmart. This truly limited-edition collection has 20 items including brushes, hair ties, headbands, scrunchies, claw clips, and bows. The colors and patterns are gently Americana influenced and will make you feel like humming your favorite John Mellencamp ditty…maybe even about Jack and Diane (Prices run from about $6-$13, at Walmart).
Scott Speedman redux
Scott Foley is on Will Trent. And now Felicity’s other love, Scott Speedman will be showing up on the small screen in a new series, and I’m here for it. He plays a disgraced photographer/ex-con turned private investigator in what feels like a very self-deprecating Magnum PI type role. And it’s set in South Florida. Works for me!
And that’s the sound of me heading out for the weekend. What are your plans? Mask and mojitos ? Let’s meet in the comments to discuss!

Quick note: I included some affiliate links and from time to time some sponsored products which means I might earn a small commission on sales made through these links, but I also throw in stuff I love just because. Prices are current at publish time.
