Hello, Gorgeous!
Tomorrow night we turn back the clock one hour and wave goodbye to Daylight saving time, making this weekend a great time to fully veg, sleep in, stream something and spoil yourself silly.
Here are a few things that might help:
Glerups wool slip-ons
I’m at a point in my life where I’ve fully embraced the fact that clogs are my one true love, and I’m okay with that (sorry, honey!). Glerups make the coziest, warmest, most comfortable house slippers that can pass for clogs. They’re sustainably made of itch-proof wool and feel like tiny hugs for your feet ($100, Glerups.com).
Verilux Happylight
If you have a hard time adjusting to the time change, or want to mimic the effect of a bit more sunshine, you might want to try a therapy lamp. I’ve been using a Verilux Happylight for the past week and I actually feel the difference. I’m less grumpy and sluggish and it’s easier to start my mornings. Start with only about 10 minutes a morning (soon after you wake up) and build up to an hour if possible. Don’t look directly into the light, but keep it near you as you work or read or sip on your morning coffee ($ 72, Macy’s).
Hard Candy Lip Butter
It seems like everyone describes everything as being like buttah, but this product really is. Made with four butters (Murumuru, Jojoba, Mango & Shea), and coming in five flavors including Berry Mousse), this tinted balm is a bit thicker than most balms with an incredibly luxurious feel and shine ($7, Walmart).
Easy lunch
If you’re keeping things simple this weekend, Bumble Bee can help. Last month they launched 3 ounce single-serve wild-caught tuna Snackers. Flavors include Lemon Pepper (my favorite) Hickory Smoke (or maybe this one is my fave?) Sweet Heat, Thai Chili, Tuna Salad and classic Chunk Light Tuna. You can find them for under $1.50 at your local groceries including Kroger, Shoprite, and Publix.
A warm and cozy candle collection
Spiced Latte, Pumpkin Pie, and Pure Vanilla? Yes, please! Surround yourself with the best possible scents of the season with Fontana Candle Co’s naturally-scented, cruelty-free candle bundle ($ 70, fontanacandlecompany.com).
A cozy-ish procedural
My sister recently informed me that I pretty much only recommend mysteries or mysteries with British accents. That’s not at all true. Karen Pirie now streaming on Britbox has a decidedly Scottish accent (I could listen to the cast say muhrrr-duhhhhr all day long). Based on Val McDermid’s crime novels, it’s a smart and entertaining series covering cold cases. There’s a cast with loads of charm, twists and turns a’plenty, and lovely to look at locations. Also, accents.
So, what will you be streaming this weekend? Let's meet in the comments section to discuss.

Great recs! 😁 Karen Pirie is that good.
It's really a chewy and entertaining show. I always see everything coming a mile away abd didn't with some of these twists.
