Weekend Mode: Nice to Each Other
A short post, a great song, and a tiny grammar lesson
Hello, Gorgeous!
It was a bear of a week. Blizzards! Family stuff! Internet issues! And now it’s almost the weekend.
Because of said internet issues, I won’t be able to share a full weekend post. So, I’ll leave you with this. The world is experiencing a whole bunch of hiccups. May we decide at least for the next 25 hours to be nicer to each other?
This song by Olivia Dean always makes me feel better about the world. And I’m certain my neighbors are tired of hearing me play it 165 times in a row. Remember when music was hopeful? I miss that. Also, she could be the love child of Alison Moyet/Jody Watley and Sade with a soupçon* of Zendaya thrown in for the Zillennials.
Happy weekend, friends! Let’s be nice to each other, shall we?

* Did you know that the little hook or tail under the c in soupçon is called a cedilla? It’s from the Spanish for a tiny z, and was used in Medieval literature. It’s acceptable not to use it in commonly used words like “facade” or “soupcon” but it looks much cooler with. Now you have something to discuss at your next cocktail party.

Love Olivia Dean and this song! Her sound is so refreshing!
Love that song too, have a good weekend Rachel and stay happy and warm.
