Well, yuck. But frankly, they missed a chance. They could’ve marketed this for kids who wanted to be just like Mommy.

I'm pretty sure that's what they're trying to do!

Oh my! That's shameful. I didn't wear makeup when I was a teen or even later than that because, at the time, most of it was tested on animals. Today, in my late 60s, I rarely wear it. I guess it's a habit of not wearing it to begin with.

It really is. And I don't brand shame in general, but this is something I feel needs to be addressed. And it is interesting how life and circumstances and beliefs can have you start and then continue on a certain path. I've always looooved makeup and beauty, but my styles have varied drastically over the years!

Wow! This is wild! I actually rep a skincare brand that targets tweens and teens with all natural ingredients and created by a dermatologist. It’s one thing to target tweens/teens but something completely different to target 4 year olds 😱. Wild!

They say that it's for kids as young as four and maybe for older *but* the website and ads show extremely young children. It's definitely disturbing! (And I wish they'd have had products geared to me as a smart tween/teen instead of just Wet & Wild :)

OMG! Wet & Wild 😜 That takes me back! So true! Funny, that's what the collection is geared toward, "Smart Beauty". The way the skincare has gone viral among young girls is wild! Reality is that taking care of your skin is something that we do from birth but then theres a huge gap in between baby and 20's. We just need to be smart about it. Love this article!

I remember feeling so exquisitely grown up when I bought Wet & Wild. And that whole Sephora thing with really young girls being addicted to skincare makes me uncomfortable. And yes! we really need to be smart about all of it. YAY! Thank you. I appreciate that so much.

I meant is as more (voluntary) imitation than indoctrination.

Ahhh. Of course you did! Doinks to me.
