This is something I would never think to do! But as I lean into my changing 40-year-old-skin (ditching the foundation for a naked, moisturized look) I've been wanting to play up my eyes more. This seems like the perfect 'fun' thing to try.
I love that you'd contrast the naked look with a bright eye look! It's definitely a fun combo. I also think that sometimes it's fun to mix it up because people notice something different without really noticing what it is, while it's tons of fun for you. I also love deep grape tones which seem to flatter nearly every eye color.
I like it on her, but I think it depends on skin tone. I have a blue eyeliner from Dior I bought a while back and I love it, but it's a darker blue, rather than a bright blue. Not sure that my skin tone would take a bright blue like that.
You're right of course! I think it all depends on what suits your skin tone and personal style. Then again, I'll try anything, even if I know it will probably look hideous on me, just so I can experience it and/or share it. Also, sometimes you just want to be a bit playful. I have a Shiseido bright blue that I wore once, to match a pair of electric blue suede shoes!
That's awesome! At least eyeliner is inexpensive enough to buy for a fun occasion. And you are so much more skilled to be able to know how to wear funky makeup and apply it. :)
I think that's why I continue to have fun with it. It's relatively affordable and even if you try a trend for a short while, you have a fun refresh and go back to what you loved previously!
Sounds + looks like fun! I've tried darker blue too and wondering about these shades. Does it depend on eye color? I love these on black/brown or blue eyes. Concierge?
That last part made me lawff! It can depend on eye color, of course. But sometimes you just want to have fun. Deep chocolatey brown eyes can carry pretty much any color eyeliner. But you do have to be a bit more careful with different color eyes. Like maybe green. You'd look best with navy eyeliner. I think I'll do a post on colored eyeliner and maybe colored mascara. Danke!

Would love a post on that!
Love this - bold eyeliner & subtlety everywhere else! But also I'm not the best cat eye applier - I can never get them even!! Any tips???
