Hello, Gorgeous!
Yesterday we talked about the dangers of beauty burnout. But you know what the real beauty of the makeup biz is? Its ability to endlessly delight and intrigue us.
Case in point, Stila Stay All Day Chroma-Flash Liquid Eye Liner.
Stila Stay All Day Chroma-Flash Liquid Eye Liner
Practically speaking, there is no point to this multi-hued sparkly and shimmery eye liner other than to add some fun to your day.
Are these flattering? I don’t think so. Judging by the images I’ve seen, there’s nothing about any of the three shades that will enhance your eye color or shape. There are also variations of pinky hues in each one, which can make your eyes look swollen. But, hey! These aren’t exactly classic colors. And let’s face it, the color combos are absolutely amazing:
Peacock (emerald/sapphire/vivid violet)
Mermaid (sapphire/teal/magenta)
Firefly (golden copper/lime green/pink topaz)
Am I going to buy at least one? Most definitely yes. Life is short. It’s okay to feel giddy about trying something that reminds you about just how fun it is to use your face as your canvas every now and again.
Will anyone notice? Probably not. I wear different bold colored eyeglasses frames, so chances are good even people who notice the colors will think it’s a trick of the light.
Do I care if no one notices? Nope. Not even a little bit. Because the flip side of beauty burnout is enjoying something new for the pure joy of it. And because it already reminds me of when I was a moody teen experimenting with every possible beauty look because I could. (Chroma-Flash eyeliner is $26 on stilacosmetics.com).
Are you as curious about these eyeliners as I am ? Let’s meet in the comment section to discuss!

This is fun! And I think that's the language I've been searching for when talking to my daughter (6) who gets curious when I get out my make up bag - which isn't often. In human design language, she has outer vision, and is really coming to love all things pretty (jewelry, hair braiding, lip gloss). Your post is the perfect reminder that makeup can be a tool to live and play more and "hide or coverup" less ;)
Love your attitude and really, why not? Except… bright colors and pinky undertones really make my sensitive eyes look more like bunny eyes than fun and fab. Hard pass for this gingit! 🤪🤪🤪
