Hello, Gorgeous!
Life has been complicated lately so I’ve been leaving a lot by the wayside, including products I once thought I couldn’t live without. Spoiler alert: I can. I do.
To that end, here are some weekend-friendly products you can easily pack and go.
Polite Pops Powder Blush Stick
I just ordered this one featured on Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty event ($14 for today, usually $28 on Ulta.com). While I haven’t tried it yet, I love the compact size of the packaging which means I can use it, enjoy it, and not be stuck with it forever. And nope. It’s not in the spirit of wasting makeup, it’s more about trying not to allow products to sit so long they go rancid. If you have time this weekend, maybe throw out some smelly mascaras or products that are sitting for way too long.
Laura Mercier Petal Soft Lipstick Crayon
And…then I ordered this one in Elodie. I guess I enabled myself this time around. We were talking about eyeshadow sticks this week and how Laura Mercier is such a classic brand and nearly all the products are phenomenal and I wanted to see if this one is too. I’m so weak ($35, Ulta).
Bellroy Lite Totepack
Did you ever fall in love with a brand that’s so not you? That’s the case with me and Bellroy. I reviewed a crossbody bag a few years back and found that every time I needed a great bag for travel, it was the first I reached for. Then I discovered their clever backpacks including this fabulous tote bag/backpack. It’s perfect for casual travel since you can use it when you wander around a new city, or for a casual night out ($129, bellroy.com).
Glossier Balm Dotcom Trio
Need a lip balm and a cuticle cream and something to smoothe out rough bits? Try this easy, easier to travel with trio. While the smells can be a bit too sweet, they really do work on a host of issues including rampant eyebrows if you haven’t had time to groom them lately ($42, glossier.com).
Totes folding umbrella
Unlike my sister I really don’t mind the rain. In fact, I usually end up forgetting my umbrella at home most of the time, which can be really awful during deluges. Totes has a great foldable umbrella that stays strong on even windy days. It also packs up really small, so you can use it for sun protection as well ($45, totes.com).
I said I was keeping things short and sweet this weekend, so no streaming or reading recs!
Is anyone else over overpacking for the weekend? I’m definitely in my minimalist era. Let’s meet in the comment sections to discuss!
